Finding Nature at Every Turn
We have lived on our beautiful farm in Bisley, Surrey for over 19 years now. We have horses, chickens, dogs and all manner of animals on the farm. There is always the sound of children's laughter ringing in the air from our nursery and forest school. We also have two venues on the farm, The Bisley Yurt and The Enchanted Studio. Both heated by big log burning stoves which use lots of logs! See Henry's story below...
Henry's Story
My name is Henry Keeling and I have lived on our family farm in Bisley all of my life, some of my earliest memories are of helping my dad chop and split logs for our venues on the farm. I have also seen that many log suppliers are less than professional and often supply wet unseasoned logs, or bags that are only half full. Having spent a big part of my life dealing with logs, I thought why not make a business out of it!
However, I wanted to start a log business that was different. More professional. Our logs are all naturally seasoned to a low moisture content over several years and not "Kiln Dried" which is very polluting and energy intensive. The bulk bags are properly full and our logs burn beautifully!
I wanted to offer free, reliable local delivery where we are helpful and as far as possible, the logs are not just "Dumped" on the pavement. There are occasions where access restrictions make this unavoidable, but we always try to help!
Its long hours, but as my parents are always saying, Hard work never hurt anyone!
